Dear colleagues,
it is a great pleasure for me to invite you to the 15th Czech-German ENT Congress from 23rd. to 24th. of September in the Kurhaus of Hamm/Westf.
Hamm is a city in the northwestern part of Germany with nearly 200.000 inhabitants, two technical colleges, 5 hospitals and different ambulatory rehabilitation institutes. It has established itself as health center for the Westphalian region with good traffic connections (important road link and railway station) and three airports within easy reach (Dortmund, Düsseldorf).
Main topics of the congress will be
- Minor surgery in ENT
- Thyroid and parathyroid disease
- Sinus and lacrimal diseases
- Varia (e. g. Otology, Rhinology, imaging techniques)
- In the last topic presentations discussing any subject of our speciality are included.
- On Saturday a session on thyroid and parathyroid disease offering an excellent overview about the current state of knowledge will be held by internationally recognized specialists.
Take the opportunity to submit your abstracts.
We want to encourage above all young colleagues to give their - maybe first - presentation in the familar atmosphere of a small international congress. Congress language will be English.
The best presentation of a participant below the age of 35 will be awarded.

Czermak prize of the year 2016 for the best Czech presentation is the participation in the International Tympanoplasty course at the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery, University Hospital of Cologne combined with a subsequent job shadowing in the ENT Department for one week.
The best German presentation is rewarded with the participation in endoscopic sinus course at the university hospital Motol, Prague.
The length of presentation should not exceed 15 minutes (incl. discussion). Deadline for submission of abstracts is 30 June 2016.
Among different social events the traditional Czech-German soccer game at the end of the congress will be the final highlight.
